2012 Olympic Venue – Ricoh Arena selects Agility
The Ricoh Arena has agreed a deal to use Agility facilities management software in the countdown to hosting football matches during the London 2012 Olympics.
The Coventry venue will be using the flexible, browser-based IT system to make their maintenance software work more efficient.
The award-winning Ricoh Arena will also be using SoftSols Group’s Mobile Expert handheld software to deploy jobs to their staff on the move.
This has been introduced as staff gear up for London 2012 when 12 men’s and women’s football matches will be staged at the venue, starting on July 25 next year.
Anthony Mundy, facilities director at the Ricoh Arena, said a flexible system was needed due to the venue being a world-class destination for business, entertainment and sport.
“We are one of the most versatile venues in the UK since we host a combination of high-profile concerts, conferences and exhibitions as well as being the home of Coventry City, an on-site hotel, the UK’s largest casino and have office suites for other businesses.
“We needed to introduce a facilities management software system which could cope with all the different needs of our business and we believe Agility ticks all the boxes.
“This will mean our maintenance staff can work more efficiently and quickly which will be particularly pertinent as we approach one of the busiest few months in our history.”
